The Distribution of Orally Administered Co^60-Vitamin B_12 in Rats.

Abstract
Present study describes on the distribution of orally administered Vitamin Bit in rats¢¥ liver,^ kidney,. spleen, femurs; stomach% and +intestine. , They albino rats were administered, . 48.3 lzmg of COD -Vitamin. Biz orally and were killed by, ~decapltataon -oa; the 3rd: and 9th_ day: after :Vitamin Bit ,¢¥administration. The liver. kidney,, spleen, femurs, stomach.and intestine^ were removed and the contents of, C4)60-Vitamin

The results are. as foll ows
1:. Themeai} contents¢¥of` Cod Vitatriin $>z were 1:24%¢¥ and 3.96 % of administered dosage; in:each ; gram of < the .liver. and kidney a respectively¢¥ at . the> 3rd day after administration, and -the contents ¢¥showed

2. The contents of Co60 Vitamui B12 in the spleen were 1.33 % per gram at .the 3rd ,day and 0.91 % per

,The contents : of Cod-Vitamin Bi in the femurs were 0.8% per gram at he.¢¥ 3rd.day there were - no.-measurable rCoGO-Vitamin B12 it the femurs thereafter. -
Fa 4. The. contents ,of Co607Vitamin.B12 in the stomach were 1.84% of administered dosage per gram and 0.6% per gram in. the -intestine at the 3rd day. _
5. The 23.9% of administered Co6D-Vitamin B12 were excreted in the feces within the first 24 hours, 11.4% in the 2nd¢¥day and 4.7% in the 3rd day. The total amount of excreted Co60-Vitamin B12 in feces , ¢¥ for 3 days were. 40% of administered dosage.
